Vitamin CE + Ferulic Acid Lotion 1 fl oz

This is now my favorite vitamin CE + ferulic acid! It goes on smooth and absorbs quickly, absolutely love it!

This product caused me to have an allergic reaction. I had hives and a swollen face for about a week. I have used a vitamin C+E Ferulic Acid serum by another brand for years without a problem, so it must be one of the other ingredients in the lotion that caused the issue.

I was super excited to try this product, along with the DNA Repair Serum for the first time. Unfortunately, a couple days after using them, my face and neck broke out in hives and caused my face to swell. Since I started both products at the same time, so I decided to do a patch test with one product on each arm to see if I was allergic to both or just one of the products. The arm that had the C+E Lotion broke out in hives, while the arm with the DNA Repair Serum did not. I have never had sensitive skin and have been using a C+E Ferulic Acid serum from another brand for years without any issue. I really wish I could figure out which exact ingredient caused this reaction so I can avoid it in the future.

Found Photozyme thru a Penn Smith Skincare YT video. I’ve got fair skin with mild sun damage so I was very interested in the dna repair part. Since I was already looking for a new vitamin CFE, I thought I’d try this so I can cover vitamin C and dna repair in one step. It is a lotion and I use it as the first step after washing my face as recommended. It has an odor but not as bad as some other vitamin c serums. Since I’ve been using vitamin C serums for a few years, I’m not seeing any brightening but I didn’t expect to. I am excited for the long term skin impact.

I had stopped using vitamin C a number of months ago in my a.m. routine. I'm not really sure why. But what I used, I could never use on my neck- just my face- it was just too much for my sensitive neck. I can use THIS product on my neck daily without any overt sensitivity or irritation. After just a few days, I already see a brighter complexion. And I know that Vit C works in tandem with my sunscreen, so that's a win also. Very, very pleased with this product thus far.
